Polarity webblog bei 20six Polarity webblog bei myspace Polarity webblog bei blogall Polarity webblog bei joeuser Polarity aka Robert Agthe is a very comitted drum’n’bass - producer from Aglasterhausen (near Mannheim). He has started producing in 1998 and since then he has finished many tracks and has meanwhile found his own style. Every track sounds different from the other, because Polarity uses a variety of elements combining them with a nice flow. From distorted amen-breaks to funky basslines and vocal tech-step rollers you find everything in his repertoire. 1999 Polarity has founded a network for producers without a fixed record contract. The artists are featured on his website called www.producer-network.de. Polarity has also collaborated with some of these artists. Now he works together with DJ Shroombab from Vienna and they founded High Tension Recordings together. Just take your time and listen!

Polarity & Shroombab: met each other via ICQ on the word wide web back in 1998. They have both produced tracks on their own before they decided to collaborate. Polarity from South Germany already worked on several drum'n'bass-tracks, whereas Shroombab from Vienna (Austria) still worked on trip hop & acid tracks, besides she has already started her DJ-carreer with drum'n'bass. Both had similar tastes and they found out that they work very well with each other, their styles fitted together. In 2000 the first productions of this collaboration followed and they got some attention from several drum'n'bass-djs who started cutting dubplates of their tracks.

In 2002 Shroombab has already performed as a DJ in 6 countries and over 120 clubs and she established herself as a popular DJ, especially in the German-speaking part of the world. She promotes several club nights in Vienna (called "bass land", "junglistic sistaz" and "soundscape"), and manages the PR for the new founded label "High Tension Recordings". After hard work of perfectionicing their producing skillz to reach the high production standards, Polarity & Shroombab decided to put out their first release "Stronghold"/"Rolling Thunder" on 12" in March 2002. It got a good press and got regularly played by a lot of DJs. In August they finished some more fresh tunes. Please especially listen to the tracks "double trouble" (no.2), "mindmover" (no.4) and "overlay" (no.5), they really kick ass!
